We offer Auto-line configurations which complies with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, meeting the stringent requirements for operation in explosive atmospheres. This directive is essential for equipment intended for use in environments with a high risk of explosion due to the presence of flammable gases or dust.
Equipment categories Auto-line filters can comply with:
– Category 2 (Zone 1): Suitable for areas where explosive atmospheres caused by mixtures of air and flammable gases, vapors, or mists are likely to occur in normal operation occasionally.
– Category 3 (Zone 2): Designed for areas where explosive atmospheres are not likely to occur in normal operation but, if they do occur, will persist for a short period only.
ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU Marking: II 2/2 G Ex h IIB T4-T3 Gb/Gb
This marking indicates our systems’ compliance with the ATEX Directive, signifying:
– II: Equipment intended for use in places with an explosive gas atmosphere.
– 2/2: High level of protection, suitable for Zone 1 (G) and Zone 2 (G) areas.
– G Ex h: Protection by methods according to the equipment protection level (EPL) Gb, suitable for explosive gas atmospheres.
– IIB: Suitable for gases, vapors, and mists with an auto-ignition temperature greater than 135°C but less than 200°C.
– T4-T3: Temperature class, indicating the surface temperature limits of the equipment. T4 corresponds to a surface temperature limit of 135°C, and T3 corresponds to a limit of 200°C.
– Gb/Gb: Equipment protection level, indicating a high level of protection suitable for use in explosive gas atmospheres.
